On August 7, 2011 at approximately 2:15 AM, Reece Gonzales was inside his uncle?s apartment during a party on the 8400 block of Winkler. Three men entered the apartment, demanding money, and wielding weapons. One suspect, known by the alias ?Chaparro? wielded a gun. Gonzales was able to lunge at the gunman, knocking him down, however the two other suspects stabbed Gonzales during the altercation. Suspects known by the alias? ?Pelon? and ?Guerro? stabbed Gonzales over a dozen times. Gonzales was able to flee the apartment into the parking lot, where he collapsed, and later succumbed to his injuries.
