Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division need the public’s assistance identifying the suspect(s) responsible for a Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality.

On Thursday, July 16, 2026, at approximately 10:52 p.m., Eva Gonzalez Frederick was attempting to cross the street in the 7800 block of Westheimer Road in Houston when she was struck by an initial vehicle, causing her to fall into the roadway.

The driver of the first vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. However, while Ms. Frederick was lying in the roadway, a second vehicle traveling westbound struck and ran over her before fleeing the scene without stopping to render aid or notify emergency personnel, as required by law.

Ms. Frederick suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased as a result of the collision.

The family of Eva Gonzalez Frederick is requesting the community’s help with identifying the suspect(s) responsible for this Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality.
