Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Central Division need the public’s assistance identifying the suspect(s) responsible for Criminal Mischief of a Habitation with a Firearm and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, at approximately 10:57 a.m., a suspect arrived in the 3000 block of Maury Street in Houston, Texas, as the passenger of an older-model tan GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab pickup truck.

The suspect exited the vehicle armed with a rifle and fired multiple rounds toward a nearby residence. The suspect then returned to the vehicle and fled the area.

Investigators are working to identify the shooter, the driver, and determine the circumstances surrounding the vehicle used in the offense. At this time, it is unknown whether the GMC Sierra belongs to the suspect(s), was borrowed, or was stolen.

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information that could help identify those responsible to come forward.
