On June 1, 2007 at around 3:00 in the morning David Johnson and two other people were at a home in the 5900 block of Beaconridge when someone knocked on the door. One of the others answered the door and was talking to an unknown black male. The person who answered the door saw another black male exit a dark blue or green Ford Taurus or a Pontiac Grand Am with a gun. The man with the gun started shooting and two of the people inside in the house were able to escape through a back window. David Johnson was shot and killed as he hid behind a door in another room. After an investigation, it was determined that the two suspects took some money from the house before they fled the scene in their car. One suspect was described as 6? tall, about 210 pounds, wearing a black short-sleeve pullover shirt and a white baseball cap. The other was described simply as a thin black male with a gun.
