Sadie ButlerCrime Stoppers of Houston and the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division need the public's assistance identifying the person or persons responsible for the murder of Sadie Butler.
On Saturday, June 9, 2012, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Sadie Butler was found deceased at a METRO bus stop refuge in the 5600 block of West Tidwell Road in Houston, Texas. Investigators determined the 57-year-old had suffered a fatal gunshot wound and died as a result of her injuries.
More than 14 years have passed, yet Sadie's family continues to wait for answers. She was a devoted mother of six and grandmother of 13, whose life was taken far too soon. Her loved ones are asking the community to come forward with any information that could help identify those responsible and finally bring justice to their family.
"For 14 years, someone has carried the truth about what happened to Ms. Butler," said Crime Stoppers COO Nichole Christoph. "Someone, somewhere knows who pulled the trigger or who was involved. It's time to come forward. Crime Stoppers is offering $5,000 and the promise to remain completely anonymous. One tip could finally give Ms. Butler's family the answers and justice they have waited so long to receive."
No matter how much time has passed, even the smallest piece of information could be the key to solving this case.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the location and arrest of the suspects featured. Information may be reported by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org or through the Crime Stoppers mobile app. All tipsters remain anonymous.
