On Sunday, May 6, 2007 at approximately 2:30 am, Mr. Baldwin was crossing Richmond northbound in the 1700 block when he was struck and killed by someone driving westbound on Richmond. The driver failed to stop and render aid to Mr. Baldwin. Mr. Baldwin died at the scene from massive head trauma. Evidence left at the scene led investigators to identify the vehicle as a 2002-2006 black 4-door Nissan Altima. A photo of a similar car is attached.
