Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a Murder.

On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at approximately 6:15 a.m., Aaliyah Avila was shot in a gas station parking lot located in the 12200 block of Beechnut Street in Houston, Texas. Ms. Avila was sitting inside of a vehicle that had just been involved in a major accident. The suspect opened fire on the victim and fled on foot (last seen running south on Cook Road). Three other people that were in the vehicle with the victim fled the scene, leaving Aaliyah behind. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The family of Aaliyah Avila is requesting the community's help with identifying the suspect responsible for her murder.
