On Monday, January 11, 2016, at approximately 9:40 a.m., Mr. Carroll P. Oliver was shot in the parking lot at a restaurant located in the 5300 block of the East Freeway, Houston, TX. During this incident Mr. Oliver was approached by several unknown Black and Hispanic male suspects in a white newer model sports utility vehicle. The suspects shot Mr. Oliver during a robbery attempt and fled westbound on the East Freeway. Mr. Oliver died at the scene from his injuries.
