On Friday, January 8, 2016, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the victim was walking north bound on the 2900 block of Taft Street. The victim walked across the street in the crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle traveling east bound on Westheimer Street. The victim was thrown approximately seventy feet from the impact and was pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel. Witnesses described the suspect?s vehicle as a dark colored, four door passenger sedan with heavy front end damage. The suspect fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim and headed east bound on Westheimer Street. Vehicle ? possible dark colored four door passenger sedan, unknown make and model.
