Crime Stoppers and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division need the public’s assistance identifying the suspect(s) responsible for a Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality.

On Sunday, February 8, 2026, at approximately 7:48 p.m., the victim was walking southbound in the 13000 block of the Jones Rd. in Houston, Texas when struck by a suspect vehicle traveling southbound. Afterwards, the suspect fled the scene without rendering aid. Tragically, the victim succumbed to the severe injuries sustained in the incident.

The family of Michael Shannon is requesting the community’s help with identifying the suspect(s) responsible for this Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality.
