On Saturday, February 27, 2016, at approximately 8:38 p.m., a twenty-two-year-old male victim was struck and killed by a vehicle as he walked eastbound on the 5900 block of Van Fleet Street in Houston, TX. Immediately before the incident, witnesses observed a blue pick-up truck, which was being driven by an older black male, traveling westbound on the 5900 block of Van Fleet Street. The suspect then struck the victim and fled the location in an unknown direction of travel without rendering aid to the victim. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
