Shaun CopelandCrime Stoppers and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for a Failure to Stop and Render Aid (FSRA) - Fatality.
On Friday, January 3, 2020, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Shaun Copeland was traveling in the 4800 block of Lauder Road, in Houston Texas when the suspect’s vehicle (a 2007-2013 silver Chevrolet pickup truck or SUV) failed to control their speed. The suspect vehicle struck Shaun Copeland’s vehicle from behind. Shaun Copeland lost control of his vehicle causing him to drive off the roadway into a ditch. The victim was ejected from his vehicle. After the impact, the suspect vehicle fled the scene and failed to stop and render aid to the victim. The front bumper from the suspect’s vehicle was left behind at the scene. As a result of the crash, Shaun Copeland sustained severe injuries that resulted in his death.
