On December 27, 2007, at approximately 6:00 am, emergency dispatchers received a call from Steven DeCorte, age 46. He stated that he was bleeding and needed an ambulance. Emergency personnel arrived at Mr. DeCorte?s apartment at 5510 Beverly Hill and found him lying inside the apartment at the front door. He had suffered a stab wound to the upper torso, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
