Crime Stoppers and the Pasadena Police Department Homicide Division need the public's assistance identifying a suspect responsible for a Capital Murder.

On Friday, December 1, 2017, at approximately 10:15 PM, after a long day’s work with his brothers, the victim arrived to his home in the 500 block of Richey street in Pasadena, Texas. The victim returned to his vehicle to get something, and was confronted by the suspect who attempted to rob him at gunpoint. The victim fought back as his brothers came to his aid. During the altercation, the victim was shot multiple times and died on the scene. The suspect also attempted to shoot the victim’s two brothers, but neither brother was shot. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction of travel.

Suspect: Black male, 20-25 years old, 5’10” to 6’00”, 200 lbs., and wore all black clothing.

Mr. Chavez’s family is requesting the help of the community to identify the suspect responsible for this murder.
