On June 4, 2016, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Paige Balinski was riding her bicycle northbound in the 14800 block of FM 2100. She was riding near the left or center of the number two northbound lane of traffic. A vehicle traveling northbound on FM 2100 struck Ms. Balinski from behind. The unknown driver fled the scene without attempting to stop and render aid. Ms. Balinski was critically injured and transported to Memorial Hermann hospital in the Texas Medical Center where she later died as a result of her injuries.
