Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division need the public’s assistance identifying the suspect(s) responsible for a Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality.

On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at approximately 6:39 p.m., the victim was walking in the 7600 block of the South Loop East Service Road in Houston, Texas, when struck by the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Tragically, the victim succumbed to the severe injuries sustained in the incident.

The family of Erick Neftali Buruca is requesting the community’s help with identifying the suspect(s) responsible for this Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality.
