On December 26, 2014, an unknown black male walked into a business located in the 5900 block of Bellfort Avenue at Belbay Street. An altercation occurred inside the business between the victim and the suspect. During the altercation, the suspect produced a weapon, shot the victim, and then fled the scene. Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-20s.
