Crime Stoppers and the Harris County Sheriff's Office Traffic Enforcement Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspect responsible for Failure to Stop and Render Aid - Fatality.

On December 20, 2016, at approximately 9:40 p.m., the victim, Alexander Roberto Chavez, was walking westbound in the 8600 block of Furay, in Harris County, TX. At the same time, a gray, 2005-2010, Chrysler 300 sedan, was driving westbound in the westbound lane. The victim failed to yield the right of way to the sedan, and the front, right, of the sedan struck the victim. The force of the accident caused the victim to be thrown into the westbound lane, to the north edge of the roadway. The driver of the Chrysler Failed to Stop and Render Aid to the victim, and fled the scene westbound on Furay. The victim died at the scene due to injuries sustained during the accident.
