Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division need the public’s assistance identifying the possible suspect responsible for a Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid - Fatality.

On Monday, December 19, 2016, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Ms. Shelby Bustamante was struck and killed by a vehicle driving north bound on the 2200 block of the Gulf Freeway in Houston, Texas. During this incident, Ms. Bustamante exited a vehicle she was a passenger in and was struck by a red GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck. The unknown suspect driving the red GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck fled the scene of the accident without rendering aid to the victim. The suspect vehicle traveled south bound on Interstate 59 toward the Southmore Boulevard exit. There is no additional information about the suspect at this time.

Suspect Vehicle Description: Red GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck with a white “fox” sticker on the back window.
