On July 16, 2015, at approximately 1:25 a.m. a male and female were walking southbound along Ella Blvd and were struck by a vehicle traveling the same direction, killing the female and knocking the male into the oncoming, northbound lane of traffic. The male was struck by a white Chevrolet Malibu being driven by a female that had a female passenger. Both driver and passenger are described as black females in their mid 20's. The male pedestrian sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
