On Sunday November 25, 2011, at approximately 8:50 pm, eighteen year old Delfino Hernandez was sitting in a parked car at a neighborhood park located on the 12600 block of Huntington Venture in Houston, Texas. An unknown dark colored sedan pulled up alongside of Hernandez?s parked car. An occupant of the unknown sedan questioned the gang affiliation of Hernandez and his associates. Then, an occupant of the sedan fired a shotgun toward Hernandez?s vehicle, striking him in the head. The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. Hernandez was transported to an area hospital where he received treatment for his injuries. He later died due to complications from the gunshot wound on November 25, 2011.
