On May,3, 2014 at approximately 6:45am, Harris County Deputies responded to a ?man down? call at the Mariposa Apartments at 16300 Ella Blvd. When deputies arrived they discovered the male to be deceased from what appeared to be blunt force trauma to the head. The victim was a minister with a Christian organization called Care. He was identified as Pastor Magnus Scott Hjalmarson AKA Pastor Mike Hjalmarson. He was responsible for coordinating community projects in the apartment complex. Hjalmarson was in his garage, preparing for a community garage sale, when he was killed. An autopsy later revealed that Hjalmarson died from a gunshot wound to his head.
