On Thursday, November 8, 2012, at approximately 7:55 PM, while driving his personal white ford pickup truck, stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Clover and Duane Streets. While stopped at the stop sign he was fatally shot through his windshield. As he stopped at the stop sign, another truck, possibly a black Dodge with mag rims, came up from behind him, and stopped in front of him, blocking his movement forward. According to witnesses, the shooter was observed to be a black male between the ages of 25?30 years old. The shooter was observed to have just gotten out of Knight?s truck as a passenger. The shooter stood in the street in front of Knight?s truck, and shot a .40 caliber handgun 5 times into Knight?s truck, fatally striking him. The shooter then jumped into the passenger side of the black truck and drove down Clover Street. This case is still unsolved and actively being investigated at this time. Knight?s family is still searching for answers.
