On October 31, 2014 Daniel Martinez and a witness were walking to their apartment from a store in the 9600 block of South Gessner. �They were confronted by a black male suspect with a gun. �The witness feared for his life and fled the location immediately. �Mr. Martinez however, was shot during the course of the altercation. �He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The next victim, Juan Obispo Chamorro, was walking to his apartment in the 5900 block of Rampart after taking the trash out on November 11, 2014. �He and a witness were approached by two black males to proceed to rob the men at gunpoint. �Both suspects fled the scene on foot after shooting Mr Chamorro. �The victim tried to run for help but collapsed and died shortly after. The latest apparent victim in this string of robberies was Jose R. Moreira. �Police say, on November 29, 2014 around midnight Mr. Moreira was shot and killed in the parking lot in front of his apartment also in the 5900 block of Rampart.��
