At around 3:00 in the morning on Sunday August 29th, 2010 Douglas Evans was visiting with some friends in the 400 block of E. 43rd Street. He was standing near the street when a red Jeep Cherokee drove by and shot him. Mr. Evans died as a result of his injuries. The red Jeep Cherokee is an older model with damage to the passenger side door and front bumper.
