On August 6, 2007, HPD was called to investigate the fatal shooting of Samuel Leon Rodgers in the 10161 block of Westpark. Mr. Rodgers suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots from an apartment building and called police.
