On August 15, 2014, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Mary George, a 50 year old female, was struck and killed while walking across the street in the 1500 block of Telephone Rd. An unknown suspect, driving a Chevrolet Silverado (possibly tan color), was traveling north bound in the 5100 block of Hillman St. The suspect made an abrupt right turn onto Telephone Rd. striking Ms. George with the vehicle and failed to stop and render aid. The impact of the Chevrolet threw Ms. George into the air causing her to land on the roadway helpless and in need of assistance. The suspect fled in the described vehicle in an unknown direction of travel. Mary George was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident due to this unknown suspects irresponsible actions. At this time, we do not have any other information and we are pleading for the public's assistance.
