Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for a Capital Murder.

On Saturday, July 16, 2016, at approximately 11:30 p.m., victim Dereck Lawton was shot inside his residence located in the 7800 block of Tierwester Street in Houston, Texas. During the Aggravated Robbery – Home Invasion, two unknown male suspects forced their way inside the residence and shot Mr. Lawton multiple times. The suspects ransacked the residence and fled the location in an unknown direction of travel. Mr. Dereck Lawton died at the scene from his injuries.

The family of Dereck Lawton is requesting the help of the community in finding the individuals responsible for this Capital Murder.

Suspect #1: Unknown male, skinny, approximately 6’01”– 6’01”, wearing all black clothing and a ski mask. Suspect #2: Unknown male, approximately 5’07”, 180 lbs., wearing all black clothing and a ski mask.
