On June 3, 2005 Mark Korenek was approaching his car in a parking lot located in the 1300 block of Fry Road when a man jumped out a beige colored van and shot him one time in the chest. The suspect got back into the van driven by another man and fled the scene. Mr. Korenek was taken to a local hospital where he died.
