On Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a black male suspect known only as "Bam" knocked on the complainant's door at an apartment complex located in the 5600 block of Aldine Bender, in Harris County, Texas. The complainant knew the suspect and allowed him entry into the apartment. The suspect pulled out a handgun and attempted to rob the complainant and other occupants in the apartment. One complainant began to fight the suspect but was shot during the altercation. "Bam" fled the scene in an unknown direction. A witness gave the suspect's description to the police and he is described as a a light-skinned black male in his early to mid-twenties weighing approximately 140 to 150 pounds and standing 5'5" to 5'7".
