Juvenile Suspects Charged in Fatal Shooting at Houston Business
A brave tipster called the tip line to provide information on a tragic case. On March 20, 2024, officers responded to 911 calls reporting gunshots inside a business and multiple males fleeing the scene. Inside, officers found the victim deceased behind the counter with apparent gunshot wounds. Five 9mm cartridge casings were recovered and sent for processing. Surveillance footage revealed one juvenile suspect speaking with the victim, two others acting as lookouts near the entrance, and a fourth entering with a firearm pointed at the victim. The victim attempted to defend themselves with a handgun but was fatally shot when the armed suspect opened fire. All four suspects fled in a recently stolen vehicle. The investigation uncovered that one suspect was wearing an ankle monitor during the crime. This tip helped solve a case that could have gone unsolved because all suspects wore hoodies, masks, and gloves to avoid leaving evidence.
