Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) Training by Crime Stoppers of Houston Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) Built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004. Learn strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active attack event are provided while learning the history and prevalence of active attack events, civilian response options, situational awareness, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills are included in this presentation. National Crime Victims' Rights Week is celebrated this year from April 7-13, 2019. This is a time for communities to come together to honor victims of crime and to promote victims' rights. This year's theme is "Honoring Our Past. Creating Hope for the Future." Across the country, communities will hold events in honor of victims of crime. In Houston, Crime Stoppers of Houston in partnership Parents of Murdered Children and Surviving Family Members of Homicide will be hosting a kick-off event on Sunday, April 7, 2019. The event will take place west of the tennis courts. We will have information tables highlighting cases currently being reviewed for parole, as well as unsolved cases and Crime Stoppers flyers. Please join us! |
