2020 Crime Stoppers USA Community Initiative Award – Social Media Award
The Social Media Awards is awarded to a program in recognition for continued support and outstanding service through the use of Social Media in providing community awareness through the use of this medium for an awareness campaign and program enhancement. This award was given to the Crime Stoppers of Houston Safe Community Program in recognition of its prevention safety tips, videos and blogs featured monthly across social media platforms.
2020 Crime Stoppers USA Community Initiative Award – Crime Stoppers of Houston Young Professionals Group
The Community Initiative Award is awarded to a program/group that shows work accomplished in providing unique community initiative projects within their communities.

Crime Stoppers of Houston Director of Victim Services & Advocacy Andy Kahan was awarded 2019 Marlene Young National Leadership Award at the 45th annual National Organization for Victim Assistance Training Event in Phoenix, Arizona in recognition of his 27+ year commitment to helping crime victims.

2016 Crime Stoppers USA Award – Best Print Award
Best Print Media Award for the Crime Stoppers of Houston Back-to-School articles (Playing it Safe & Safety Tool Box) featured as the cover stories in The Buzz Magazines, August 2015 Back to School Issue. The print articles promoted the purpose of the Crime Stoppers of Houston Safe School Program during a critical time of the year when parents and families are distracted by the hustle and bustle of preparing children for back to school. The magazine was distributed to four clusters of prominent neighborhoods in the Greater Houston Area and was also available online.
