Domestic Dispute Ends with Victim Set on Fire
A male suspect became upset with his girlfriend and accused her of stealing an item of his clothing. He walked out of the house to his car and returned with a plastic water bottle that was filled with gasoline. A witness told police that the suspect poured the contents of the bottle onto the victim’s body and used a lighter to set her on fire. At that point, the suspect fled the scene, and the witness was able to use a comforter to put the fire out. The victim sustained severe burns to her chest, shoulder, side of her neck and thighs. The suspect was charged but remained at large until a tipster provided his current location.
