Crime Stoppers and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division need the public’s assistance identifying the suspect(s) responsible for a Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality.

On Sunday, January 19, 2025, at approximately 12:19 a.m., Ruben Perez was struck by a vehicle in the 12400 block of Veterans Memorial Dr. in Houston, Texas. During the incident, the victim was walking on the southbound shoulder of the roadway when struck by the suspect’s vehicle. After the collision, the suspect(s) fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Sadly, the victim died from major injuries sustained.

The family of Ruben Perez is requesting the community’s help with identifying the suspect(s) responsible for this Hit and Run – Failure to Stop and Render Aid – Fatality.
