Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 505 West Bell about 11:30 p.m. on Thursday (May 7). The victim, Joseph John Stewart, 55, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene. Mr. Stewart returned to his residence, parked his vehicle and entered the garage of his home. He was then approached by an unknown male suspect wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a mask. The suspect shot Stewart, who managed to make it inside his residence, where he was later found deceased. The suspect fled the location before officers arrived.
