Stolen Firearm Removed From High School Campus

A student submitted a tip through the Crime Stoppers mobile app reporting a classmate with a gun on campus. Officers located a 17-year-old suspect in possession of a loaded 9mm Glock, later confirmed to be stolen.

Juvenile Human Trafficking Victim Rescued

A tip submitted through the Crime Stoppers mobile app led investigators to a suspect connected to a 2023 murder and multiple human trafficking cases. During the investigation, detectives discovered a juvenile victim and several adults who reported being threatened with extreme violence if they did not engage in prostitution. The juvenile was rescued, and all suspects were taken into custody.

Peeping Tom and Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested

In June 2025, a delivery driver alerted a woman to a man lurking outside her apartment. Video footage later revealed the suspect had peeped into her home multiple times. Months later, another woman in the same area was sexually assaulted. A web tip identified and located the suspect, leading to his arrest. He is now awaiting trial.

Parking Dispute Turns Violent

On June 7, 2025, a parking dispute inside a shopping center garage escalated when one driver opened fire on another vehicle. Although the victim escaped without injury, multiple bullets struck the vehicle, causing approximately $3,000 in damage. A tip led to the identification and arrest of the shooter.

Metro Bus Murder Suspect Captured

In May 2025, an altercation on a Metro bus escalated when the suspect struck the victim with a firearm, briefly walked away, then returned and fatally shot him. Crime Stoppers received two tips—one identifying the suspect and another providing his location—leading to his arrest without incident.

Wanted Fugitive Arrested After Violent Encounter

A tip submitted through the Crime Stoppers mobile app led officers to a suspect wanted in two hit-and-run cases. When officers arrived, the suspect was visibly intoxicated and became combative, hitting, kicking, spitting on deputies, and defecating during detention. While being transported to the Harris County Jail, she attempted to bribe a deputy with $15,000 for her release. The suspect is now in custody.

Teen Arrested in Violent Purse Snatching

On December 17, 2024, two teens ambushed a woman in downtown Houston, violently snatching her purse and repeatedly punching her as she tried to hold on. Surveillance footage captured the attack. Months later, an anonymous tip led to the arrest of one of the juveniles involved.

Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

In April 2025, police sought public assistance identifying a suspect believed to have robbed at least three cell phone stores within days. In each robbery, the suspect threatened employees with a firearm and demanded cash. An anonymous tip named the suspect and provided his location, leading to his arrest.

Fugitive Wanted for Infant’s Death Captured

A tip provided Crime Stoppers with information regarding a fugitive wanted out of Pennsylvania for the death of his partner’s four-month-old child. The tip included the suspect’s location in Houston, Texas. The information was forwarded to the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force, which confirmed the suspect’s arrest. The fugitive is now in custody and facing justice for the infant’s death.

Tip Prevents Potential School Threat

A tip submitted through the Crime Stoppers website identified a juvenile student making alarming threats on social media. On March 24, 2025, the student posted claims about possessing materials to build an explosive device, referred to himself as “smarter than Oppenheimer,” and threatened to use the device if a female student refused to marry him. School officials confirmed the student was identified and expelled for violating the school’s Code of Conduct, potentially preventing a serious incident.
