2020 Crime Stoppers of Houston Gala
While the October 2020 Leading the Way to a Safer Houston Gala was going to kickoff the start of our 40th anniversary celebration, we are saddened to inform you that we, like many other charitable organizations, have had to cancel our event. In abiding by CDC and local guidelines, we think it is best to cancel and we have no plans of a virtual Gala moving forward.
Many of you have attended this event for years. You know it’s a wonderful evening to visit with friends while checking in on the incredible work of Crime Stoppers. We’ll miss the dinner together but hope you are all following the historic work our team has been doing. From bail reform to COVID-19 scams, to developing an entire Safe School Institute virtual arm which has been working hard to meet the needs of schools, teachers, parents and children facing an entire new world – online to launching even more Safe Community events working with increased pockets of our community – our team has never been as busy as we’ve been this year. Through it all, we’ve stayed committed to listening, having balanced conversations and offering solutions for all. In doing so, we’ve caught the connection of partners locally, across the state and across the nation.
Our mission and operations rely on the revenues raised through our fundraising events. Now, after cancelling our Gala, 2020 will mean we had to cancel both and all of our fundraising events. But the work has not stopped and we still need your support.
At this time, would you please consider making a donation to Crime Stoppers of Houston – similar to what you would have made attending one of our events or even more? It is needed and appreciated more than ever.
Thank you 2020 Gala Donors:

Your support today means the world to us!
