Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for a Capital Murder.

On Thursday, February 12, 2015, at approximately 2:08 p.m., a victim was shot to death in the 5700 block of Westheimer Road in Houston, Texas. During this incident, Alvin Kinney, an armored vehicle guard, was loading a bin of money into the back of an armored vehicle. A short time later, a white Ford F-250, backed up to the armored truck, and three suspects (all wearing masks, possibly gloves and what appeared to be body armor) exited the vehicle. The suspect driving the F-250 remained on the driver side of vehicle and fired at the armored truck (toward the driver side door). The other two suspects assaulted the victim at the back of the armored truck, shot the victim, and then dumped the money from the bin into the rear of the pickup truck. All three suspects then fled the scene, driving north on Bering Drive. The suspects abandoned the F-250 inside a parking garage in the 2000 block of Bering Drive.

The suspects fled the parking garage in an unknown vehicle and in an unknown direction of travel (with the stolen money). During the investigation it was discovered that the truck used in this Capital Murder had been stolen approximately six months prior to this incident.

Victim Alvin Kinney was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

All three suspects were described as black males, and the composite sketch shown is a depiction of one of the suspects involved.
