Thanks to the dedication and generosity of foundations, corporations, and philanthropic individuals, we have achieved incredible strides and are serving Houston in historic ways. Crime Stoppers has exponentially developed our crime prevention programming in an effort to empower Houstonians through education.

In 2016, tips to Crime Stoppers have resulted in the arrest of 414 felons and 545 cases solved including 24 murders, 84 robberies and the additional seizure of more than $19,487 in narcotics.  For their information, anonymous tipsters were paid more than $340,900 in cash rewards including $3,850 in school rewards. In 2016, the Safe School Manager trained 37,765 students, 5,986 parents, school administrators, teachers, and school law enforcement officers. Officers receive Texas Commission of Law Enforcement (TCOLE) hours for their time at our all-day conference. Our Safe Community program has educated over 117,780 citizens through our monthly safe community seminars, free movie screenings, and safety tips distributed through our monthly newsletter on topics such as anti-animal cruelty, domestic violence awareness, back to school safety, and child abuse awareness.
