Thanks to the dedication and generosity of foundations, corporations, and philanthropic individuals, we have achieved incredible strides and are serving Houston in historic ways. Crime Stoppers has exponentially developed our crime prevention programming in an effort to empower Houstonians through education.

In 2017, the Tip Line resulted in the arrest of 309 felons and 426 cases solved including 20 murders, 45 robberies and 37 felony thefts. Anonymous tipsters were paid more than $326,400 in cash rewards including $3,850 in rewards for school-related crimes. In 2017, the Safe School Program reached 40,335 students, 1,161 parents and 3,873 school staff and school law enforcement officers through 539 presentations. Our Safe Community Program educated over 479,500 citizens through outreach events and written material. The potential reach via social media and marketing outreach was over 5.8 million people.
